Welcome to the Project! If you’re here, you probably are already a translator, but if you’re not signed up and are willing, send a PM to me (Jayan Nair) on the Rebelution or look at the steps below.
We are setting out to translate The Rebelution Blog by Alex and Brett Harris. We are doing it because we feel that the Do Hard Things message needs to get out to as many people around the world as possible. What better way to do this than to translate it into their own languages?
We currently have translators for French, German, Dutch, Danish, Polish, Korean, Romanian, Indonesian, and Icelandic. Those languages will be run from this site. The Spanish translators are being led by Giancarlo from the Rebelution and will not be using this site.
Soli Deo Gloria! Glory to God Alone!
July 3, 2009 09:29 EST - Please make sure you have an account on the wiki site! This is especially important for team leaders. I will be closing off anonymous account creation Sunday afternoon. This doesn't mean you can't register, but you will have to send me your desired username and password so I can create your account. Also, Please make sure you keep in mind the goal for the completion of the summer translations: August 31. I hope to launch those posts in all the languages. (I believe I have talked to all of those who know they can't meet the deadline).
June 3, 2009 16:07 EST - This was my first experience with wiki software, and I know you all may not no how to use it either. So, I've made a page called Sandbox in which you can practise the wiki software in order to learn its functions. Just one condition: Don't delete the site ;-).
June 3, 2009 16:03 EST - I just finished posting all the old translations. I believe the site is not ready for use. Team Leaders, please adjust the status of the articles on the homepage of your language to make them accurate. Thanks!
Once you have completed translating an article you will need to post it on the wiki for editing. On the homepage for each language there will be a list of articles. Beside each title, there will be the status of the article in parentheses like (this). The status will show one of four options:
Under each Team Page there will be a daughter page (with the title of the article and the langauge code in parentheses) on which you should paste/edit the article when you have finished your assigned job. Once you have pasted the article and saved it, go to the list of articles on your language's homepage and edit the status accordingly. This will require some work to remember, but it is very important organizationally.
